The three musicians of Suunta come from a background of traditional Finno-Ugric and Nordic music, which they take towards contemporary territory, together with live electronics. The archaic sounds of kantele, global percussion, woodwinds and human voice begin a journey of celestial navigation from the deeps of the ocean towards the thin crust of the planet, where people live their lives, work, create and feel. Navigating by the stars, the music draws its power from new visions of ancient memory-based rites and stories.
